Kinzie Tower (2010)
Architect of Record: Frye Gillan Molinaro (Unbuilt)
AJ Rosales: Design / Planning
Located on an oddly-shaped triangular site on the north bank of the Chicago River, this heavily developed defunct project (stopped during the recession) was planned as part of the River Walk that allowed users to walk to the shores of Lake Michigan. The resulting thirteen story building was designed with an landscaped entry “garden” at the plaza level, including a small glassed in lobby. The concrete and glass tower is also designed with three-tiered residences, each unit comprised of a main level for entertaining, an upper level reserved for a master suite, and the lower level proposed for additional suites.
