Pisa Baptistery Composite Object (2015)
SCI-Arc: 3GA Studio
Instructor: Peter Testa
PROMPT: The Pisa Baptistery would be transformed completely into a different kind of object from the original building - namely,
one that was highly temporal instead of simply geometric. 3D models, CNC milling, and photographic distortions became the canvases. The inclusion of time (using the photographs) became a central concept in a new object being created. Instead of a purely form-based result, our new 'object' took on the form of a composited photograph using several physical interpretations of portions of the object. Team: Agustina Alaines, Galileo Morandi, Oren Harris, AJ Rosales.
